Cole was born and raised in Southeast Georgia. Some of his earliest memories involve wandering the banks of the Altamaha River or visiting Georgia’s barrier islands. From a young age, he has been fascinated by all of the plants and critters of the environment. According to Cole, these interests have only grown with time.
Cole now attends the University of Georgia and is seeking a degree in Agriculture Education with a certificate in Environmental Education. He chose Wild Intelligence to fulfill a volunteering requirement for one of his education courses and continued after the course ended because he enjoyed it so much. After volunteering with us for 2 years, he will be joining us this summer as a mentor. Cole is excited to join the Wild Intelligence team and continue to teach and learn more about connections to the natural world. He credits Wild Intelligence in solidifying his goal of becoming a teacher and hopes to integrate the knowledge and values he has learned through working with Wild Intelligence into his classroom one day.
